The Sambad celebrated it's happy birth day. Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi said his hobby was to collect paper cut on published news. He said after restoration of paper cut he uses for the consequences in politics at the time of need.

On his speech he said media houses are the mirror of democracy. The Sambad is continuing it's efforts in same line. Also he said in the earlier government jurists rights had been ceased.

The founder of the sambad eminent Somya Ranjan Pattanaik said the prime duty of journalism to trace out the truth and faults of mechanism. He gave example of Mamata Meher's un natural death.
