Justice Surya Kant will be the 53rd CJI in India. Esteem will take oath on 24th November 2025.He is from haryana state. Hisar is his native place.

Briefed to front line media he said mounted of pending cases. Also he said his priorities will be for mediations. Till 2027 his tenure will be in SC as CJI.
