SC stayed UGC amendment...

Two bench of justices including CJI stayed UGC amendment bill 2026.Now the amendment will not be enforced.

Court added the draft has some which will break student's unity in educational institutions. Segregate word is also used by the apex.

Now till the process of stay vacate the new act will not be enforced rather old UGC will be enforced.
